About the Position:
nnWe are seeking an Executive Director to take the lead in the overall administration of our community-based, non-profit agency, The Arc.
As the Executive Director, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact in providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
You&s;ll ensure smooth operations across the agency, from financial management and program development to fundraising and public relations.
Working under the directive of the Board of Directors, you will be the key individual responsible for executing the Board&s;s policies.
This is a full-time, exempt position offering a competitive salary and benefits that exceed the norm for a non-profit organization.

Responsibilities:
nnManage overall administration of the agency, including fiscal and budgetary policies and proceduresnnSpearhead program development and administrationnnOversee fundraising, public and interagency relationshipsnnLead in grant writing activitiesnnHire and supervise staff, maintaining a professional and supportive environmentnnMaintain accountability to the Board of Directors regarding policy implementationnnStay informed about local, state, and national governmental affairs affecting persons with developmental disabilities, and relay this information to the Board, membership, clients, and the publicnn
Qualifications:
nnBA or BS degree in Social Welfare, Public Administration, Business Administration, Education, Social Work or a related field is requirednnA minimum of two years of related experience; or five years of experience in a human services delivery systemnnAt least two years in a management or supervisory positionnnDemonstrable knowledge of governmental affairs that affect persons with developmental disabilitiesnnWhy Work With Us:
